Day 1: Aswan Tour from Luxor

In the morning our staff representative will transport you to the Luxor railway station for your journey to Aswan. A private travel guide will join you to visit the following attractions:

Aswan High Dam

The beautiful Aswan dam's construction began in the third quarter of the 20th century in collaboration with the popular Hydro project Institute of Russia. The dam intends to control the Nile River flooding effectively. Also, it plays a vital role in the economic development of Egypt.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The unique structure's construction began to get placed at the entry of the temple Karnak. Its height is 42 meters and weighs 1200 tons. This architecture clearly shows the brilliance behind its construction. The obelisk had cracked while it was being built and remained in the same place till today.

The Philae Temple

The magnificent Philae temple gets dedicated to Isis, the goddess of Love and Beauty. Isis is also the deity of motherhood, birth, and healing. The temple was dismantled and brought to the Agilkia islands under the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project to protect it from the High Dam construction's side effects. King Ptolemy II built it. Its architecture has the features of the Egyptian New kingdom and also shows Grecco Roman influence.

Finally, after all the site visits, get your train back to the hotel in Luxor.
